Not bad - pretty much what you'd expect from a Chinese buffet for lunch.

Haven't had Great Wall for years. Went with my favorites. Apparently they were out of chicken? I could not get the Hacked Chicken - at a loss, I subbed Pork Fried Rice. Also order their crispy green beans and Great Wall chow mein. The Fried Rice was awful. How on earth do you mess that up? The juicy crispy beans were not much better. The chow mein saved the day. NOT WORTH THE $$$

My favorite Chinese restaurant in town. It's always good and there's always something interesting on the menu to change it up! The service is phenomenal as the staff has been doing this for years. I wish all Chinese restaurants could be this clean, efficient, and friendly--and tasty!

Chow mein was good, fried rice was not so good. If they could add the same goodies in the rice like the chow mein, it would make the fried rice much better. In other words, bigger portions of meat chicken, pork and shrimp!

Great place to go on Christmas if the usual holiday fare has you down. The place was jam packed with people grabbing takeout. Order early. Food is decent if not stellar. Service is excellent.

We have been going there for over 10 years. Over time we ordered every dish including ones that are not typical to American palette for Chinese takeout. I often wondered if they have a chief that was straight from some retirement home way up north? How come there is no spices or salt!? Most of the dishes have the same flavor without heat typical to their cuisine. The same sauce repeats itself, nothing original worth paying over $20. After stopping going there for close to 2 years, I decided to order during a polar plunge. It took me some time to figure it out bc I knew nothing there is eatable and the best bet is to order something that they have to prepare longer...like fried rice. Mistake again, no spices, vegetables, questionable meat? scraps...and best of all, white over cooked rice in enormous proportion with fried egg in huge pieces. I would not recommend you eat there unless you are over 100 and lost all your senses.

All the classic Americanized Chinese dishes are available here. What's unique is that they use their own recipes and food seems to be made from scratch. The family, including young children, loved it.

Good Chinese food. We have been eating here since 1982, and the food is really good. We moved out of the area is 2013, and came back this evening. Still good! We had the mu shu pork and the walnut duck. Both were delicious. Our server was very efficient, although his accent was a little hard to understand.

Sesame is not spicy like I was told. Bland, flavorless food that is over priced. Best part of the meal was the cream cheese wantons. Waste of money.

Food was good but not great, prices were a little high. The service was terrific even on a busy night. Parking was difficult as there are a lot of busy places in this little strip.

Flavors are good but not particularly exceptional. Sampled a half dozen items (family style service) many were a similar brown sauce with couple of variations. Singapore noodles and short ribs were the standouts for us. Very tasty items.

My parents have been coming to this restaurant since 1999! This Mother's Day (2020) my mom specially requested fried rice. Because of COVID-19, there was a long line outside (and people were losing their patience and being disrespectful to the staff) however, the workers of this restaurant kept their cool and served their customers with love and passion! This restaurant has to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Minnesota! They really love what they do. Their food is AMAZING and it will make you drool all the way home. Keep up the good work!

I have fond memories of dinner with grandma here. It's loud though so not as much conversation with grandma, just the dinner part. Which was tasty - pork fried rice and wontons. Would go again, but between services.

This place is my favorite site. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to this restaurant. Whenever I want to go to a delicious supper, this restaurant comes instantly to my head. best and all kinds of food and a large menu.courteous staff, and great atmosphere. And very important, the charge is reasonable. I praise this restaurant with no hesitation.

The food came quickly and was delicious. Not too busy either but enough to validate a stop. The server was concise and quick. Very good dinner place. Prices aren't too bad either. Definitely recommend. Made a quick trip to the cities worth it.

I adore this place! They prepare sensational meals, their menu is nice, The chef in that place is very experienced, I enjoy very much tasting all their food. The food is always of high class, the attitude towards the guests is agreeable. I often go to this place and I was never unhappy. Highly recommended.

I I was just reminded on why I stopped going there 10 years ago. I ordered basic chicken chow mein ,fried rice ,Sesame chicken ,and dumplings .The food was very bland and lacking flavor. I am perplexed on how they are able to stay in business! I recommend Hana Bistro or Cam Rahn Bay in Hopkins. They are both more expensive but the food is very good

As a customer for over 20 years, I have rarely had a bad meal at Great Wall ... until my last couple visits. My wife and I had lunch in May and again in June of 2019 and can only ask, what happened? I have traveled through snow storms and driven across town for your Sesame Chicken but the last two visits it tasted like you simply used the left-over meat from other dishes and deep fried it to look like Sesame Chicken. In fact, that's exactly what you did and it was disgusting. I'm not sure I can come back.

I’ve been going here for years! This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurant in the twin cities. If you’re new to this restaurant and tend to enjoy the common “orange chicken” at other Chinese restaurants, I encourage you to step out of that bubble and ask the staff for recommendations based on your preferences. My go to picks are fried pork dumplings, cream cheese puffs, egg rolls, and tangerine beef (be aware, the black peppers are VERY hot- I don’t eat them). I seriously have a hard time going here without ordering all 4 of those! Other tasty items are the sesame chicken, pork fried rice, and beef lo mein! Perhaps most importantly, they have AMAZING sauces!! Notably, the special soy sauce for dumplings, the hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce for the egg rolls, not to mention the tangerine beef sauce!I find the entrees to be a relatively large size, easily shared with someone or enjoyed as leftovers (this may also be because I order 3 appetizers too...).

For decades, Great Walls has been a favorite take-out restaurant in our family. When our younger son visited from college, we had to order take-out from Great Walls. However, The last two times we have ordered have made us wonder if there was a change of ownership or chef. Our order included shrimp lo mein, Kung Pao chicken and curried chicken. The Kung Pao chicken was flat, the shrimp lo mein was slightly burned, and we did not get the curried chicken. Instead, we got some egg dish, we had never heard of. And I specifically asked whether they had checked that the order was accurate when I picked it up. They assured me they had. THe place was empty, so it was not an issue of being rushed. That egg dish too, whatever it was, was very flat tasting. Time to find another Chinese restaurant!

This was a beautiful restaurant , very comfortable, even sitting close to the window I didn't feel the cold temperatures of outside coming in. We were promptly seated, and the very busy server came and assisted us and answered our questions. The food was delicious as we share shared samples of one another's meals. Everything was cooked and spiced to perfection. The bathrooms were a little unkempt as it was a very busy dinner meal.

I went to the lunch buffet with some friends and we got affordable American Chinese fare. Service was quick and efficient. I had the wontons, lo mein and the chicken - the food was nothing to write home about, but for a $10 all you can eat buffet, it was well worth the cost.

A busy place on Christmas day. But they got us seated right away. It was a good experience the tea was hot, the atmosphere warm and elegant and the food delicious. We had a table four, ordered Chicken and asparagus, Peking chicken, and cashew chicken over rice the dishes were light spiced just right, there was plenty of sticky white rice and the gravies were superb. They had two handicap accessible bathrooms that were unkempt, but clean and newly updated. Each has a changing station attached to the wall.

I love the food here. They have good service and are willing to do substitutions. Word of warning though, they only give you 1 cup of rice per dish. If you want more then that, you have to order extra.

We were searching for a Chinese place we haven't been to before. This place was rated good on Yelp, so we checked it out.I gave it 5 stars because it was some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. There was still two things that bothered me though. 1. There were so many GrubHub drivers coming in that it took forever to get seated. 2. The waiter was super slow.I would still go back. The food was that good.

Best Moo Shu Pork around!!!

Questions & Answers

I don't think the prices are any higher than your average Chinese place. Ok, maybe a teeny bit higher, bit you get tons of food and it is way better than the less expensive joints.

Yes, they are.

You can pick up.
